Evelyn "Ebbie" E. Conn

August 19, 1927 — February 27, 2025

Lincoln, NH

Evelyn "Ebbie" Conn, 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Lincoln, NH, on February 27, 2025, with her children by her side. She was surrounded by her loving family and a team of compassionate caregivers. She was born on August 19, 1927 in Lincoln, the daughter of Edward Strickland and Mary Pollard. In 1947, Ebbie married her late husband, Ralph L. Conn and together they raised their seven children.

Ebbie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945 and went on to attend the Boston School of Hair Design. Later in life, after raising her children, she was employed at the Burndy Corporation for several years. If there was a car going to a casino, bingo, or cribbage, Ebbie was in and ready to go before the car came to a complete stop in her driveway. She enjoyed watching game shows, completing crossword puzzles, baking her world-famous peanut butter fudge and baked beans. She really enjoyed her Sunday rides with Beany and Betty, reading the newspaper, watching sports on TV, conversing with family and friends, and catching flies in her recliner chair. She was a woman of wise words, witty comebacks, and playful sarcasm.

She was recently notified that she would be receiving the Boston Post Cane for being the oldest resident of Lincoln. She was predeceased by her seven siblings, her granddaughter, Markee Scott, and great-granddaughter, Megan Goodbout. She is survived by her seven children: Mike (Joan), Beany, John (Priscilla), Billy (Cindy), Joe (Donna), Mary (David), and Jayme (Jay); nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Ebbie's family would like to thank the many kind and dedicated caregivers at North Country Hospice, Speare Memorial Hospital, and Linwood Ambulance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency (NCHHHA.org), the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org), or stjude.org.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date for family and close friends.
