Evelyn C. Osborne Pembroke - Evelyn "Evie" C. Osborne, 88, of Pembroke, died November 13, 2007 at Concord Hospital in Concord. She was born on July 11, 1919 in Mont Vernon, NH the daughter of George and Bessie (Blood) Carleton. She was a longtime resident of Concord and had lived in Pembroke for the past 10 years. Evie, as her family and friends knew her, attended Southern NH University. She married Henry Arthur Osborne on September 21, 1940 in Mont Vernon. Evie had worked as a loan supervisor for NH Higher Education in Manchester and Concord for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bird watching, playing bingo and watching the Celtics games Her family members include her two daughters, Dorothy Kruger and Nancy Roy both of Pembroke, brother, Joseph Carleton of Mont Vernon, NH; sister, Eleanor Buraczynski of Moody, ME, 5 grandchildren, David Kruger of Bow, Jeffery Kruger of Belmont, Kandi Kruger of Loudon, Kim Lucas of Hawaii, and Lynne Soares of Manchester; 7 great grandchildren; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Osborne who died March 17, 2007 and her sister, Ethel Kiess. There are no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held on may 18th at 2:00PM at the Mont Vernon Congregational Church, Mont Vernon. In lieu of flowers donations in Evelyn's memory can be made to Concord Regional VNA, PO Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302 or the Mont Vernon Fire Department, Main Street, Mont Vernon, NH 03057.
