Everett H. Fuller, 96, of Contoocook and formerly of Antrim, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24th, following a brief illness. His loving son and a dear friend were by his side.
Everett was born in Walpole, MA on December 2, 1917 to Henry and Carrie (Attwater) Fuller. He was a graduate of Walpole High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University. He began a career in chemical engineering shortly after graduation and worked for Bird & Son Incorporated. In 1942, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country as a PV-1 Escort Pilot running missions up and down the East Coast. After his honorable discharge from the military in 1945, Everett returned to his career as a chemical engineer working for Holliston Mills (formerly Bird & Son) and continued with Norton Co.
After he retired Everett became an avid golfer. He was a member of Angus Lee Golf Club in Hillsborough where, for many years, he served as secretary for the Morning Senior Men's League. He participated in league candlepin bowling in Peterborough, was active in the Tufts Strong Living exercise program at the Grapevine Family & Community Center in Antrim, and enjoyed countless hours sailing with his son on Lake Winnipesaukee. Described as a sweet man with a smile that lit up his face, Everett possessed unparalleled generosity, and his ability to give of himself to others seemed limitless. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, and a devoted friend.
His son, Brenner K. Fuller of Contoocook, and several nieces and nephews, survive Everett. His wife, E. Janice (Zack) Fuller; and his brothers, Clarence Fuller, a Congregational Minister in Melrose, MA and Edward Fuller of Wyckoff, NJ, predeceased him.
A graveside interment gathering for Everett Fuller will take place at Greenvale Cemetery, Greenfield, NH on September 20, 2014 at 1:00pm (Greenvale Cemetery is located on the right, 1.4 miles south of Greenfield Village, on Forest/Route 31).
A celebration of Everett's life immediately follows at The Inn at Crotched Mountain, Mountain Road, Francestown, NH.
