Ezio (Ed) Bemto Ippolito of Nashua, New Hampshire died Tuesday evening November 5th at his home after a lengthy illness with multiple myeloma. Mr. Ippolito was a devoted father of five and loving husband. He was born on November 17, 1925 in New York City. Son of the late Frank and Maria Ippolito, he was raised in Westchester County, New York. He received his high school diploma in 1944 from Liceo Scientifico L. da Vinco, Florence, Italy. From 1944 to 1946 he served in the United States Army and in 1950 received a BA in Economics from Columbia University. Prior to his retirement to Nashua in 1993, Mr. Ippolito was president of the retail sales division of Marcus Brothers Textiles in New York City and former president of the American Home Sewing & Craft Association. He is survived by his wife of 47-years, Rosemaiy Ippolito; three sons, Mario Ippolito of New York, Paul Ippolito and John Ippolito of California; two daughters, Theresa Bresten and Louise Knight of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Aldo , Elio, Dino and Ugo Ippolito; and three sisters, Vera Matsen, Ada Schneider and Alma Walshak. Mr. Ippolito was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua. He was also a member of the Italian American Club in Nashua. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 9, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua. He will rest at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memoiy may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607-3421.
