Fay Edson Lloyd

Fay Edson Lloyd, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17th, 2024 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH.

Born in Littleton, NH on June 15th, 1941, she was the daughter of George Alden Edson and Elizabeth Gray (Jackson) Edson.

Fay was the beloved wife of Herb Lloyd. They were married June 24th, 1961 in Littleton, NH.

Fay was a graduate of Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, MA and Colby Junior College in New London, NH. She was a home maker (the BEST) while her children were young. She later went on to work as a teller, advancing to the position of Hub Operation Supervisor at Fleet Bank for many years. Upon retirement, she served as a Secretary/Historian for the Littleton Historical Museum and worked in the Bethlehem Information Center— telling everyone about the North Country. Fay had an absolute love for this community and its history as her roots ran deep. Proudly, she was a 6th generation Edson in Littleton.

Her greatest love, pride, and joy was her family.  Fay adored spending summers at the family camp on Partridge Lake watching the gang of kids from the screened porch swimming and jumping into the lake. She loved making homemade bread and her famous “sour” pickles and relish.  She was actively involved in the Women's Club at the First United Methodist Church in Littleton as well.

Fay was predeceased by her son Timothy Lloyd, her sister Susan (Edson) Roper, and her nephew Jay Girouard.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herb Lloyd of Littleton, NH. Sons; Gregory (Leanna) Lloyd of Boscawen, NH and Christopher Lloyd of Littleton, NH. Daughter, Beth-Ellen (Luc) Couture of Jefferson, NH. Eight beloved grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Sister, Gail (Edson) Girouard of Littleton, NH.  Several nieces and their spouses. Sister-in-law, Myrna Lloyd of North Conway, NH.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Littleton, NH.  A Reception to follow.  Interment will be held at a later date. Assisting the family with arrangements is the CSNH, Boscawen.
