Fernand Plante

Fernand “Nouche” Plante , 76,  passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022  at Hillsborough County Nursing Home­­­­­­­­ in Goffstown, NH. He was born on March 26, 1945 in Saint-Isidore, Quebec, Canada, to Henri and Yvonne Plante.

Fernand was employed as a laborer for many years installing siding, roofing, as well as property maintenance and several other jobs. He enjoyed playing pool and cards at local clubs, as well as entertaining his family and friends by playing harmonica and accordion.

Fernand was predeceased by his parents Henri and Yvonne (Desindes) Plante and his Sister Colette Plante all of Quebec, Canada.

He is survived by Elaine Ciechon his beloved partner of 35 years from Bedford as well as her 3 children and 8 grandchildren who became like his own. Maureen (Ciechon) Fielder and long time friend Kevin Roux; her three children; Alden, Madeline and Hayden Fielder all from Londonderry, NH.  Wendy (Ciechon) McPherson and her husband Lowell McPherson; their three children; Emma Brown, Owen Brown and Ava McPherson all of Bedford NH.  Mathew J. Ciechon III and long time friend Toni Dupius; his two children; Jesse and Carly Ciechon of Bedford, NH. They called him Pepere Nouche and they played tricks on each other often.  It is sad that he left us too soon.

Also he is survived by his twin sister: Fernande Plante and longtime friend Normand Briere from Quebec, Canada, Roland Plante and wife Gisele of Clarksville NH.  Rolande (Plante) Fontaine and husband Normand Fontaine from Hobe Sound, Fl.  Rejean Plante and longtime friend Sylvie Dodier from Quebec, Canada, Rejeanne (Plante) Chaloux and husband Jean-Guy Chaloux from Quebec, Canada.  Michel Plante from Quebec, Canada.  Susanne Plante and friend Paul Denis from Quebec, Canada.  As well as many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews, who affectionately called him “Mon Oncle”.

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 6pm, Backroom Restaurant, Pappas Room, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester, NH.
