Florance H. Polkey, 91, of Hudson died September 3, 2003 at her daughter's home in Pelham following a period of declining health. Mrs. Polkey was born on January 21, 1912 in Northumberland, NH the daughter of the late John and Winifred (Daniels) Hodge. She spent most of her life in the Lancaster area before moving to Southern New Hampshire in 1974. She had been a resident of Buttercup Hill in Hudson for the past 16 years. Mrs. Polkey was an avid quilter and enjoyed gardening. Family members include; three sons, John Polkey of Macclenny, FL, James Polkey of Jacksonville, FL and Edward Polkey of Merrimack, NH; three daughters, Wraye Dugundji of Hatfield, MA, Carlene Blasko of Macclenny, FL and Katherine Irwin of Pelham, NH; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Hodge of Guildhall, VT; one sister, Marion Klinefelter of Guildhall, VT; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Polkey was predeceased by her husband, Walter Polkey, in 1972.
