Florence V. Cantara Mrs. Florence Flo (Vezina) Cantara, 85, of Boscawen, NH died Wednesday August 8, 2007 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a period of declining health. She was born on August 28, 1921 in Boscawen, NH the daughter of the late Eugene and Laudina (LeBlanc) Vezina. Flo, as her family and friends knew her, was raised in Penacook, where she attended the Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Penacook High School. She had worked for Beede Electric and Sprague Electric in Concord and Penacook. She had also worked for Hoyts electric and Brezner Tannery. Her hobbies and interests include crossword puzzles and crocheting. She was a longtime member of the TOPS Chapter #62 in Concord. Her family members include her son, Theodore R. Cantara and his wife Anita of Boscawen, brother, Michael Vezina and his wife Betty of Penacook, sister, Anita Stolte of Penacook, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Cantara, who died in 2001, a son Joseph Cantara who died in 1985, two brothers, Leon Vezina and Alphege Vezina and four sisters, Theresa Angwin, Joan Cook, Aurora Whitney and Helen Spain. There are no Calling Hours. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug 14th, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 9 Bonney St, Penacook. Everyone is asked to meet at the church. Burial will follow at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
