Florence Fahey, 87, of Hanover died on May 7, 2004 at Hanover Terrace Healthcare after a period of declining heath. Ms. Fahey was born on October 25, 1916 in New York, New York, the daughter of the late John and Margaret OConnell. She resided in New Jersey for 34 years and moved to the Upper Valley in 1985. She was a volunteer during the late 80s at Montshire Museum and the Norwich Public Library. Her family members include; two sons, John Fahey of Norwich, VT and Gerard Fahey of Altamante, FL; one daughter, Patricia Leach of Little Deer Isle, ME; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Fahey in 1977. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Eleanor King, Grace Ward, and Margie OConnell. Services will be held at a later date. Ms. Fahey was an avid reader and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends and family read a book on her behalf and pass it along.
