Florence Mengler

Florence was born in Franklin Square, New York on May 8, 1927, and moved to Spofford, New Hampshire with her husband Frank and three of their children in 1971. She passed peacefully at home with family by her side on April 16, 2024. She is survived by her children Diane Brandlein (Lawrence), Gail Cook (Gary), Florence Marsh (Sheldon), Fran Thomas (Kevin), Frank Mengler (Claire); eight grandchildren Lauren, Christian, Thomas, Brian, Beth, Dan, Tyler, Liam and eleven great grandchildren.

Florence was a kind, loving, giving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend. She loved everyone and would do anything for you. Florence loved to cook and bake. She was an animal lover and they loved her too! She volunteered with her daughter, Fran, at Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire. Florence always told her family she was happy the animals had a place to live, be cared for and loved.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, Hospice at HCS (Keene, NH), your local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
