Floyd Lawrence Leach Jr.

Floyd (Butch) Lawrence Leach Jr. passed away on February 27, 2025, following a period of declining health. He was born in Concord, New Hampshire, on April 2, 1952, to Floyd and Genevieve (Biel) Leach. He attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord High School. He lived in Plainfield, New Hampshire, until moving back to Concord in his retirement years.

He worked as a press operator for Rumford Press in Concord for many years. Later, he attended Tractor Trailer School of New Hampshire and received his Certificate of Completion CDL license in 1989. He drove long haul tractor-trailer traveling cross-country to California for various employers in New Hampshire. Later in life, he worked as a security guard for Pinkerton Security and then at Walmart in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

His true passion was car racing. In his heart of hearts, he was a race car driver. As a young man, he drove recreationally at many of the local race car tracks in New Hampshire, Lee and Loudon. He owned several classic cars in his lifetime that he bought and restored. In his later years, he would always be watching NASCAR races on his television. He also built model cars and airplanes as a hobby.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Diane Martineau-Halle. Floyd leaves behind his fiancée Terri Lasure. He leaves a son, Gregory Leach-Foote, from a previous relationship. He also leaves his sister, Brenda Leigh-Leach and her fiancé, John Del Monte. Also, his niece, Lana Lizotte and her husband Matthew; his nephew, Erik Marion and children, Mason and Savannah; his nephew Michael Martineau and his wife Joy; and another niece, Janice Martineau and her children, Derek Martineau, Serena Martineau, Alyssa Rose and her husband Michael. He also leaves his beloved cat, Sam, who always kept an eye on him.

He will be remembered for his goodness and his strength, giving courage and faith to those around him.
