Frances E. (Marriott) Guyer of 4 Cimmarron Drive in Nashua died peacefully after a brief bout with cancer on August 21, 2002 at Community Health and Hospice in Merrimack. She was the daughter of the late Percival and Frances (Bridden) Marriott. Frances, along with her husband and extended family and close friends celebrated her 82nd birthday on July 1st at Hospice House. She was born in Portsmouth, NH and educated in Melrose, Massachusetts. She worked in Boston until she married Nathan E. Guyer in Arizona. After living in Arizona for five years they returned to Massachusetts and made Stoneham their home. She then became a homemaker and raised two children. Frances returned to the workforce and spent 10 years as an Employee Benefits Supervisor at American Mutual Insurance Company in Wakefield, MA until she retired in 1982. Family members include her husband of 55 years; one son, James Guyer, his wife, Maria, and their children, Christopher and Kimberly Guyer of Northboro, MA; one daughter, Ann Guyer-Healy and her two daughters, Marbella and Elizabeth Healy of Manchester by the Sea, MA; a sister, Sandra, and her husband David Simkins of Little Neck, MA and Punta Gorda, FL; three nieces, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Rachel; a sister-in-law, Patricia Guyer of Lakeside, AZ; several other nieces and nephews in Arizona; and also a cousin, Winifred Walls in CA. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 24th at 3:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal on Main Street in Nashua.
