Frances H. Starkweather

Frances H. Starkweather, 91, of Lempster passed away on December 23, 2005 at 11:00 PM at Genesis Elder Care Lebanon Center after nearly five years of dialysis. Born on October 12, 1914 in Changsha, China, Frances was the daughter of Edwin and Florinda (Lincoln) Harvey. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College and was church clerk and secretary at the Congregational Church in Darien, CT and Newport, NH. She was the last of four siblings. Frances was predeceased by her husbands, Frank F. Bedell and William C. Starkweather. She enjoyed listening to talking books. She is survived by; her son, F. Lincoln Bedell of Lempster; two stepsons, John Vincent Starkweather and Charles Woodruff Starkweather; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, January 1st at 1:00 pm at the South Church in Newport, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Congregational Church, Church Street, Newport, NH 03605.
