Francis J. Maffucci, 83, passed away at the New Hampshire State Veterans' Home on February 25, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was the loving husband of Dianna (Butler) Maffucci of Pembroke, NH. Born in Lynbrook, NY on December 3, 1934, he was the son of the late Connor and Josephine (Cioffari) Maffucci. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Connor Maffucci. Francis enjoyed 23 years of marriage with Dianna.
Francis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the 1950's. He later was general manager of various Ford Motor Co. dealerships in the Hudson Valley of New York State before opening his own business, Maffucci Sales Co., selling antique auto parts.
He was the proud owner of a 1954 Lincoln, which he and his wife drove to many car club events throughout the east coast. He was an avid stamp collector over many years and belonged to the Manchester Stamp Club. Francis was a lifetime fan of the New York Giants and San Francisco Giants.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lawrence, Lisa, Lori and Marc Maffucci, his grandson, Lawrence Jr., and two stepchildren, Pamela and Kenneth Phelan in addition to a niece, nephews and cousins.
Francis will be laid to rest at a graveside committal service at 2:00 p.m. on May 11, 2018 at the New Hampshire Veterans' Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
