Frank E. Jacod III

Frank Edward Jacod III born January 22, 1931, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022. Frank is predeceased by his mother, Louisa Cauwels, and his father, Frank Edward Jacod Jr.. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Jacod; his daughter, Deb Chirgwin; and son-in-law Bill Chirgwin; as well as his grandchildren, Chris and Devan Chirgwin; his granddaughter-in-law, Feliccia Chirgwin; and great-granddaughter, Hailey Chirgwin. Additionally, Frank is survived by his two brothers, Robert and Edward Jacod; his sister-in-law, Jo-Ellen Jacod; and his nephews Robert Jr and Edward Jr.

Frank was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He lived the majority of his life in NJ until moving to NH to be with his family. His automotive career began with working for his father’s Chrysler dealership, progressing to corporate Chevrolet for many years and finishing with helping individual dealerships. He always enjoyed talking about his work and cars. Frank was an army veteran and was stationed in Germany and Austria where he received an accommodation for saving the motor pool vehicles from a devastating fire on the base. He did not hesitate to bring home any wildlife he thought needed help, even an injured baby owl. His sense of humor and need to be busy made him a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank, or Papa as he was known, was always eager to play a card game, put together a puzzle, or putter around the backyard with Chris, Devan, and Feliccia.

In memory of Frank, we are not accepting flowers, but ask that you honor his life with donations to either Wings of the Dawn Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and Bird Sanctuary, P.O. Box 53 Henniker, NH 03242 or the Alzheimer’s Association.
