Frank A. Nelson Jr., 73, of 312 Bog Road in Campton died on January 4, 2002 at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Nelson was born on May 1, 1928 in Campton the son of the late Frank A. and Florence (Willoughby) Nelson Sr. In his early days he was a logger working throughout New Hampshire. He then joined the US Army and served during the Korean War working with NATO in France. Upon his return from the military Frank worked for Yeaton Saw Mill in West Plymouth and for Ashland Paper Mill where he was a pulper. He was then employed as a mill worker at Bee Bee River in Campton. Family members include; his wife of 48 years, Lucy (Ricker) Nelson; two sons, Frank A. Nelson III of Gilford, Maine and Ned Nelson of Raymond; two daughters, Penny Thompson and Lucy Young both of Campton; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Nelson of Campton; and three sisters, Florence Blanchette of Meredith, Mary Latuch of Auburn and Patricia Currier of Holderness. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 AM at the Congregational Church on Route 175 in Campton.
