Frank R. Rivet

Frank R. Rivet, 88, died October 9, 2021 at the home he shared with his wife in Webster, NH with family by his side. He was born to Clarence and Irene Rivet on January 12, 1933 in Goffstown, NH.

He was the husband of Theresa A. Rivet. They were married on May 11, 1957, in Manchester, NH.

Frank grew up in Manchester, NH and attended Saint George's school till the 8th grade. He would later enlist in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He returned from his service, married, and started a family.

He worked many years in the textile mills before becoming a truck driver for West Lynn Creamery. He retired as a trucker after 20 years. He rejoined the workforce at Chubb Life in the Mail room for another 10 years before retiring again. Retired life wasn't always for him or his wife so he continued to work part time delivering car parts or running car swaps for many years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1968 and held his position of Past Worthy President with great pride. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 21. He enjoyed playing golf and proudly displayed a news article announcing his hole in one from back in 1995 at Duston Country Club. He spent most of his time enjoying classic country music, many shows on RFD TV, and chasing away squirrels from his bird feeders. Most warm afternoons he could be found sitting on his front porch relaxing with the sounds of nature. One of his greatest past times was watching his beloved Red Sox and teaching all his grand kids how to coach from home. Frank loved to call his favorite grandson-in-law, Jason, and keep each other updated on the latest trades and Red Sox stats when they weren't watching the games together. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and being the first to get a piece of cake at any event. The wisdom and lessons he shared with all will live on for generations, including the good French words.

He is predeceased by brothers Clarence, Albert, Raymond, and Robert as well as sisters Claire, Lorraine, and Elaine. He is also predeceased by his grandson, Donald Jr.

Frank is survived by his wife Theresa and their children; Diane, Frank Sr, Donald, Janet, Fred and his wife Ila. His grandchildren Robert, Matt, Frank Jr, Lisa-Marie and her husband Jason, Alex and his wife Megan, Theresa, and Sara. Great grandchildren Desiree, Lauryn, Nora, Alaina, Landyn, Lily, Max, and Owen. He is also survived by siblings Roger, Dottie, Simone, and Irene, as well as many nieces, nephews, and hundreds of cousins.

The family would like to acknowledge Kim and Ila for their support and assistance in Frank's final days.
