Fred Alexander Page, 87 of Littleton, NH, passed away on July 4, 2024, at Grafton Country Nursing Home after a long illness, with his wife, son and daughter in law by his side.

Fred was the second of five children, born in May of 1937 in Lancaster, NH to Fred & Thelma (Congdon) Page of Whitefield, NH, where he spent his life until joining the Army. Following the Army, Fred attended the Pierce Business School in Concord, NH, where he met the love of his life, Sandra (Quimby). Fred & Sandra were married on July 2, 1964, marking their 60th anniversary shortly before his passing. Fred was a devoted husband and father to their three children, Barry, Karen (Raymond) & Heidi (Tarling). 

Fred loved watching & playing sports. He played basketball in school, was in a bowling league with his father and his favorite pastime was golf outings with his friends & family including his nephews David & Jeffrey Atkinson, late brother-in-law Carl Ramsdell and his best friends, the late Carl Champagne & Glen Stillings. Fred was even the club champion once at the Bethlehem Country Club, where he was a member for 40+ years and an employee after his retirement. He was a devoted fan of New England sports teams and sports in general, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He loved spending time with friends and family on golf & shopping outings and attending family functions. He also enjoyed being a member of the Masons, Elks Lodge & the Lions Club.

Fred’s career started with Ruggles Fuel in Littleton, Litlteton Water & Light and then he moved into Commercial banking with Indian Head Bank, finally retiring from Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank. Fred loved working with his customers & meeting new people. He also served as the Treasurer for the Littleton SAU.

Fred is survived by his wife Sandra; son Barry and wife Christina, of Littleton, NH, his daughter Heidi and husband, Michael of New Hampton, NH, his brother Bill and his wife Gayle, of Boothbay Harbor, ME, and sister Linda, and husband Paul Messier of Northwood, NH.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Samantha (MacMillan), Emily, Grace, Josiah & Meredith Page, Tyler & Zachary Corliss, and his great-grandchildren Cody, Scarlett, Emma, Abby & James MacMillan, and many loved nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by his Father & Mother Fred & Thelma Page, his sisters Barbara (Clukay) and Sandra (Ramsdell), his daughter Karen (Raymond) and his longtime best friend Harland “Timer” Simonds of Stapleton, TN.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, the Michael J Fox Foundation, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Wounded Warrior Project.

SERVICES: As per Fred’s wishes, there are no scheduled services. Interment at Park Street Cemetery in Whitefield, NH will take place at a later date.
