Fulgence (Phil) Joseph Boucher, age 96, of Bedford, NH, formally of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully on December 9th 2023.

Phil was the son of Maryanne (Dube) and Alphonse Boucher and born on April 25, 1927 in Rimouski, Canada on the outskirts of Quebec. He was one of 14 siblings who formed a bond early on that lasted a lifetime with family gatherings, picnics, and holiday celebrations. When Phil was 8 years old, the family moved and settled in Fitchburg, Massachusetts where he started school in the 4th grade at St. Josephs elementary school and he learned to speak fluent English by the time he graduated in the 8th grade. Phil then went on to graduate from Fitchburg Vocational High School where he studied in their Carpentry Trade Program.

Phil began his career at Ilco Lock Company in Fitchburg Mass. where he met the love of his life, Priscilla Rainville. Phil and Priscilla went on to get married in 1952 and spent 71 loving years together, starting a family and building an amazing life journey together.

In 1945, Phil took time off from his career and enlisted and served for the US Army in the 252nd Engineering Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division and where he was stationed in Berlin, Germany for fourteen months and then at Campy Shank in New York, Fort Dicks in New Jersey, and finally in Fort Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts where he received an honorable discharge for his services.

He then went back to his career at Ilco lock company in Fitchburg, MA, and continued to refine his machine shop skills, progressing into management and took on increased responsibilities running several machining facilities for Ilco. He then moved on in his career and accepted a management role with a global technology company; Teradyne Corporation, where he was responsible for running their machine shop operation in Nashua, NH.  He retired from Teradyne at age 62 and then went spent the next 33 years in retirement enjoying the fruits of a successful career, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying time with the love of his life Pricilla, tending to the many passions in life he had outside of work.

Phil was a consummate sportsman and outdoorsman spending his free time playing hockey, football, and speed skating in his younger years. He spent summers camping with the family at Nickerson State Park in Brewster on Cape Cod (one of his most favorite places). He also loved gardening, boating, water skiing, and fishing during the summer, and then Deer hunting and ATVing in the fall along with snowmobiling and snow skiing in the winter. For many years, when his children were young, Phil purchased a season pass and took the family skiing at Mount Watatic in Ashburnham, Massachusetts where it became a weekly tradition of family night skiing after school/work.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Priscilla; his children Linda, Gail and John; his two sons-in-law Rick Ryen and David Heath and daughter-in-law Wendy Boucher. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lisa Beauchemin, Timothy Russell, Matthew Boucher, Thomas Boucher, George Troupe, Lily Troupe, and his seven great grandchildren, Lisette Beauchemin, Maiya Beauchemin, Grayson Russell, Maelee Russell, Roman Boucher, Orion Boucher and Scarlett Boucher. Out of his 14 siblings, he is survived by three brothers, Aldege, George and Norman Boucher. He was predeceased by his grandson Ian Boucher.

Fulgence will be laid to rest with full military honors with immediate family in attendance at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire.
