Dr. Gail H. Devoid, 73, of New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, after a long period of health complications.
Born on October 24, 1951, in Bristol, Connecticut, Gail was the daughter of Stinnard and Irene (Page) Harrigan. A proud graduate of Bristol Central High School, she earned her master’s degree from Phoenix University, and went on to earn her PhD from Capella University, a reflection of her lifelong dedication to learning and intellectual pursuit.
Gail had a successful and dynamic career in the technology sector, serving as Chief Financial Officer for several innovative companies, most recently serving as CFO with Labsphere.
In her spare time, Gail pursued her passion for jewelry design. She served as past president of the Bead Society of New Hampshire, sharing her creativity and inspiring others in the art of jewelry-making.
Her commitment to community service was equally notable. Gail was a past president of the New London Rotary and a previous member of both the Hanover and Concord Rotary Clubs. Her leadership and tireless dedication were deeply valued by all who worked alongside her.
Highly intelligent, fiercely independent, and strong-willed, Gail had a mind that set her apart. She famously scored off the charts on the Mensa test, a clear testament to the brilliance and sharp wit that those who knew her admired.
Gail is survived by her husband Ricky Devoid; her son Eric Castonguay of Trumbull, CT; and her grandchildren Leo and Samantha Castonguay.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, September 18th, 5:00-7:00pm at Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail’s memory may be made to Granite VNA Hospice (http://granitevna.org/).
