Gail Marie Provencher, 67, of Bedford, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of her husband.

Gail was born on January 21, 1959, in Muskegon, Michigan to James and Dolores Walsh. Though her family lived in many places over the years, Manchester, New Hampshire was always home. She graduated from Manchester West High School in 1976.

Gail devoted much of her life to raising her three sons and building a home centered on love, loyalty, and quiet strength. While raising her family, she also worked part time in several roles, including at the Dartmouth Women’s Health Center, Elliot Hospital, Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, and later as a Director of Contracting for Minuteman Health. Those who worked with her remember her reliability, intelligence, and thoughtful nature.

She was the devoted wife and soulmate of David Provencher, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. The two met when Gail was just sixteen years old and remained inseparable throughout their lives. They shared the same birthday one year apart and built a life together defined by partnership, travel, and exploration. They spent countless days hiking, cross country skiing and discovering new places together, always happiest outdoors and in each other’s company.

Above all else, Gail’s greatest joy was her family. She was a deeply loving mother and a proud “Mimi” to her grandchildren, who brought a special light to her life. Nothing made her smile more than time spent with Connor, Nadia, Cole, Raegan, and McKenzie, whom she affectionately called her “grandbabies.” Her love for them was constant, unmistakable and unforgettable.

Those who knew Gail will remember her as strong, quick witted, and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. She possessed a quiet determination and she shared her love generously with those closest to her including her cat, Willie. Her family remembers her as someone who created a beautiful life for those around her and whose love will remain present in the lives she shaped.

Gail is survived by her husband, David Provencher of Bedford; her sons, David James Provencher and his wife Jessica of Hooksett, Jason Provencher of Manchester, and Andrew Provencher and his wife Pamela of Bedford; and her grandchildren, Connor, Nadia, Cole, Raegan, and McKenzie. She is also survived by her mother, Dolores Walsh; sister, Cindy Walsh; and brothers, Terry Walsh and Michael Walsh and wife Chandra, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, James and brothers, Steven and Jimmy.

Respecting Gail’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Her family and loved ones plan to honor her with a memorial hike this spring.

Her family takes comfort in the love she gave and the life she built, and in the countless memories that remain with them.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Manchester.
