Gareth William Maxfield, 83, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026.

Gary was born in Concord on February 28, 1943, to Robert and Marion (Burleigh) Maxfield and graduated from Concord High School, Class of 1960. He proudly served his country with the United States Army and was a Vietnam Vet. He had a very rewarding career as a cook and baker with St Paul’s School until he retired.

Gary enjoyed meals out, bowling, crafting beautiful wedding cakes, cookouts, tending to his plants, antique cars, working on church suppers, and spending time with his beloved pets.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sally (Byrne) Maxfield; his sons, Thomas and wife Trena, and Daniel and wife Emily; grandchildren Ryanna, TJ, Aidan, Alena, and Rhily; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Robert Maxfield and his nephew Kenneth Maxfield.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial taking place Monday, July 13th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road in Concord with a reception to follow.
