Gary M. Dunton was born of Stanford T. Dunton and June 0. (Jacobs) Dunton on March 22, 1957 at the Winchendon, Massachusetts Hospital.

Gary grew up in Fitzwilliam, NH, attended Emerson Elementary and then Monadnock Regional High School before entering the Army in November, 1977.

In the Army Gary's achievements include; Food Service Specialist, Dragon Systems Course, Basic Airborne Training, Motor Transport Operator (which carried over into civilian career}, Parachutist Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Rifleman Status, and Expert Infantryman Badge. Gary was Honorably discharged in July 1983.

Gary enjoyed bowling (even achieving perfect game(s) status), playing pool, shooting, but above all he was a lifetime performance car enthusiast. He owned and enjoyed more performance cars than most in his lifetime and loved riding in them with friends and fellow enthusiasts. He also enjoyed grinding down local auto sales personal in those pursuits.

Gary was not involved in organized religion although, thanks to long term Home Bible Study in his parents' home conducted by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harris, he did come to faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross that paid his sin debt before God and satisfied God's justice.

Regarding his faith and during the closing days of his life, Gary shared the following;

In the end, accumulating things is meaningless.

When faced with the knowledge that life is coming to a close, believing that Jesus has saved you and is your eternal reward takes away all fear.

Gary M. Dunton passed into the hands of his Savior on the morning of 20 June 2026 with family by his side having left direction that his estate be distributed to benefit others.

Arrangements on July 18, 2026 include;

Calling hours from 10:00-11 :00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church 108 Rte. 119W Fitzwilliam, NH. This will be.followed by the memorial service at 11 :00 AM at the same location.

Gary was pre-deceased by his parents and youngest brother Brian.

Gary is Survived by brothers Scott, Dale and his wife Eva and Matt and his wife Linda and many other family members and friends.
