Geeta Chakraborty peacefully passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on June 15, 1942, in Malda, West Bengal, India, Geeta lived a life defined by devotion to her family, her profession, and her lifelong commitment to health and well-being.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Malda College. In her early career, she taught English at a school in Malda, where she inspired and nurtured generations of young students. Following her marriage, she became an integral part of NB Medical Laboratories, founded by her husband, a pathologist, in the mid-1970s in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. She dedicated many years to supporting the laboratory's operations, first in Siliguri and later in Salt Lake, Kolkata, contributing with diligence, compassion, and unwavering commitment.

Geeta believed deeply in the importance of living a healthy and balanced life. She had a lifelong passion for pranayama and yoga, practices that reflected her inner discipline, serenity, and resilience.

Above all, Geeta was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters and two grandchildren, who will forever cherish her love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Geeta will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she is no longer with us, her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
