George A. Becker

George A. Becker, of Pelham, NH, died peacefully January 15, 2004 after battling cancer. Born on July 26, 1934 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late George W. and Agnes (Strang) Becker. George graduated from Glastonbury High School and spent much of his life working in various aspects of the food industry. In the past two years he received much pleasure reading with first grade students at Barron School in Salem, NH as an RSVP volunteer. He enjoyed birds, cooking, and fishing. George is the father of six children: Deborah Becker of Manchester, CT; Kenneth Becker of Tolland, CT; Cindy Searles of Windham, NH; Bryan Becker of Manchester, CT; Deana Stepney of Milford, NH; and Scott Becker of Weare, NH. He has nine grandchildren. George is also survived by two sisters and their families, Gloria Akeley of East Hartford, CT and Janice Warburton of Waxhaw, NC. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Grace Fellowship Church, 43 Main Street, Nashua, NH. Burial will take place at the family's convenience in Glastonbury, CT at Green Cemetery.
