George A. Brown

George A. Brown, 78, of 38 West Street in Charlestown, NH and Naples, Florida died on December 22, 2002 at Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity after a lengthy illness. Mr. Brown was born on February 4, 1924 in Boston, MA son of the late Orrin and Margaret (Woodlock) Brown. He attended Belmont High School, graduating in 1943 and also attend the University of Maine and Emerson College. He was a World War II Army Veteran who served in the African Theater from 1943 until 1945. He married Beverly Johnson on April 5, 1953 in Brockton, MA. Mr. Brown was associated with Arnold Foods for many years and was the President and CEO of G A Brown Inc. Family members include; his wife of 49 years; two sons, William T. Brown of North Hartland, Vermont and Robert K. Brown of Charlestown, NH; several grandchildren; one brother, Wallace Brown of East Falmouth, MA; one sister, Alberta Shaw of Market Bosworth, England; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on April 25, 2003 at 10 AM at St. Catherine Church of Charlestown.
