George B. Diersch

George B. Diersch, 82, of Concord died suddenly on June 7, 2005 at Concord Hospital. Mr. Diersch was born on May 25, 1923 in Weymouth, MA the son of the late William and Beatrice (Daniels) Diersch. He proudly joined the US Navy and served in World War II where he lost his brother, Charles Diersch. Upon returning from his military service, George founded his own flower shop, Diersch’s Flowers, in Weymouth. He was very active in the rotary club and International Order of Odd Fellows. He retired to Hillsboro, NH in the early 1980’s. George enjoyed landscaping and tending to his well manicured yard. Family members include; one son, Richard A. Diersch of Hillsboro; a daughter, Wendy Lovendale and her husband Jack; four grandchildren; four great grandsons; and one great granddaughter; his former wife, Elizabeth (Woodworth) Diersch of Weymouth; and one sister, Beatrice Holzworth of Weymouth. There will be Memorial Reception on Monday, June 13th from 11:30 to 12:30 with a Memorial Service at 12:30 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, an affiliate of Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Burial will follow in the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of ones choice.
