George Hodgdon, 90, formerly of Dracut, Ma., died December 25, 2001, at Concord Hospital, Concord, NH. He was born in Saugus, Ma., on August 6, 1911, the son of Maurice and Jennifer Hodgdon and resided most of his life in Lynn, Ma., and had been residing in Weare, NH since 1990. He was a US Marine Veteran for six years and later was a 20 year veteran of the US Coast Guard. Mr. Hodgdon worked 30 years at Hanson Field Air Force Base in Lexington, Ma., retiring at 55 years old. He was the widower of Yvonne (Belanger) Hodgdon who died in 1987. George loved the race track. Family members include his son George W. Hodgdon and his wife Kathryn A. Hodgdon, with whom he resided with, a granddaughter, Jennifer E. Hodgdon, all of Weare, NH, two step sons, Robert Loiselle and Roger Loiselle both of Lowell, Ma., a step daughter, Shirley Chouquette of Pelham, NH, a brother Eugene Hodgdon of Huntington, New York, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Hodgdon on January 5, 2002, at 1 PM in Weare Congregational Church, Concord Stage Road, Weare, NH.
