George J. Izbicki Died on July 13, 2009 of a brief battle with cancer at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH. He was born in Providence, RI on March 13, 1932 to Helen and Anthony Izbicki. George was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Pratt & Whitney in CT and North Berwick, ME for over 32 years in senior management responsible for plant maintenance. He was a devoted husband, father and granddad who loved taking his daily walks and spending times with his family especially his grandchildren. His favorite time of the year was the holidays when everyone would get together and share stories and laughs. He was a long time resident of Rochester, NH. After retirement, he spent the spring, summer and fall months in Rochester with his family and the winter months with his wife in Florida. He was always there for his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who new him and loved being in his presence. He leaves behind his wife Eleanor of over 52 years, four children: Michael Izbicki, Karen Gill, Andrew Izbicki and Cheryl Michaud, grand children: Melissa, Michelle, Brandon, Jay, Zachery, Ninah, Hannah, Kimberly, Kelsey, Ashley and Cody, two brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service is Saturday July 18, 2009 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Trinity Church of Somersworth, NH, 404 High Street.
