George Richard "Dick" Kitzman, 86, of Nashua NH passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 25, 1930. He was the son of the late Emil and Esther Kitzman (Oestrich), the youngest of six children.
He was a Korean War Veteran, and earned a degree in Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He worked for Univac and Honeywell, and was transferred to Nashua NH in 1969. George retired from Digital Corporation as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. George was loyal, proud, an excellent provider, and took care of his wife and daughter. He was strong willed and had a high standard of ethics; "Don't lie, cheat, or steal." He was very active most of his life. George played softball, hockey, and tennis. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, skiing, and riding dirt bikes. He loved the woods, and hiked Mt Washington several times with his daughter. He liked the quote, "I shall use my time." â Jack London.
George's beautiful wife of 60 years, Lorraine Carrol Kitzman (Johnson), passed away in 2015. He lovingly leaves behind his daughter, Linda L Vickery of Nashua NH; two grandchildren, Alicia L Vickery, and her husband, Glenn Martin of Tyngsboro, MA; Tyler H Vickery and his girlfriend, Amanda Nelson of Hudson, NH; friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
