Mr. George A. Lascelle, 72, of Manchester, NH died March 14, 2007 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown following a short illness.
He was born on July 30, 1934 in Suncook, NH the son of Herve and Blanche (Parenteau) Lascelle. He was educated in the Suncook school system. He was a lifetime resident of Manchester area.
Mr. Lascelle worked as an auto upholsterer at Packard and Son in Manchester for many years before retiring in 1987. He also worked a second full time job at the Waumbec Mills in Manchester and retired around the same time.
He served in the National Guard and later entered the Army. During World War II he served in the US Army with the 63rd Signal Battalion.
He enjoyed his vegetable garden and taking walks while living in New Boston.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris (Allard) Lascelle of Manchester; children, Sue Hebert of New Boston, Don Lascelle of Manchester, Jean Lascelle of Port Charles, FL, Darlene Sestito of Weare, Elaine Bunie of Weare, David Lascelle of Manchester, Irene Brennon of Snellville, GA and Lynn Wyman of Aloha, Oregon; 2 brothers, Roger Lascelle of Manchester and Gerald Lascelle of Manchester; sister, Muriel Courchesne of Hooksett, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday from 10 to 11AM followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St, Manchester. To view the on line obituary or to send condolences go to www.csnh.com.
