George Arthur Morrison, Jr., of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2026 at age 57, after battling a long illness.

George was the beloved son of the late George Arthur Morrison, Sr. and the late Joan Morrison. He is survived by his brothers, Carl Morrison and his wife, Leah, of Manchester, NH and Brian Morrison and his wife, Shara, of Merrimack, NH. He also leaves behind his cherished niece and nephew, Anna Morrison and Noah Morrison. George embraced the role of Noah's godfather with love and sincerity, and both Noah and Anna held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, including his dear cousin, Marie Asklund, her husband, Mark, and their son, Christian.

George had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh that could brighten any room. Whether meeting someone for the first time or spending time with lifelong friends, George had a remarkable way of making people feel important and valued, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He found joy in music and was a talented guitarist, especially on the bass. He had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed writing original songs. An avid Parrot Head, George loved Jimmy Buffett and classic rock. He especially enjoyed the tropical beauty and laid back spirit of the Florida Keys.

George was also an impressive cook, who loved bringing people together around food. Whether smoking meats, preparing seafood dishes or making his grandmother's spaghetti sauce, he found joy in sharing good meals with family and friends. George will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, humor, generosity of spirit, and for the music, laughter, and friendship he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
