George Robert Russell, 68, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH. He was born on January 10, 1958, in Worcester, MA, the son of George B. Russell and Joan Russell (Trottier).
George attended Massachusetts schools and his first job was working on a Duck Farm. Later he was employed with Madigan's Trucking as a mechanic. George moved to the north country in 2005 and was employed by Arrow Express for 20 years. George taught himself to do many things, he was a tradesman. He could fix most things that were broken and he got great joy from looking at what made things tick and if it was broken, fix it.
George loved his dogs, camping, boating, RC trucks, and making log furniture. On occasion, George was known to dabble in cooking. George was passionate about doing things for other people, it made him feel good to help out where he could.
George will be great missed by all that knew him, he had a great sense of humor right to the last day.
George was predeceased by his mother, Joan (Trottier) Russell and a sister, Darlene (Russell) Schofield.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Russell, a son, Craig Russell and his wife Desiree of Littleton, NH; two step-daughters, Tammy Knapp and her husband Rich of Lisbon, NH, and Lucinda Wipf and her husband Terry of VA; his father, George B Russell of MA; sister, AnnMarie (Russell) Marshall and her husband Steven of MA; brother, Kevin Russell and his wife Sandy of FL; sister, Denise (Russell) Leblanc and her husband Andy of FL; brother, Donald Russell of MA. He is also survived by his sisters, Lori (Russell) Bryson and her husband George of MA, and Amanda Russell of MA; 2 granddaughters, Kayla Demico and her fiancé Anthony Burke of Lisbon, NH and Kimberly Russell of Littleton, NH; many nephews and nieces and, of course, his pride and joy, his beloved dogs: Bella, Molly, Chase, Riley and Ruby.
There will be no formal services at his request. There will be a celebration of life to be announced later.
