George Shannon

George Shannon, 77, of Exeter died April 9, 2005 at Harborside Health Care in Amesbury, MA following a period of declining health. Mr. Shannon was born on June 5, 1927 in Peabody, MA the son of the late Thomas and Catherine (Kevill) Shannon. He was educated in the Peabody school system and went on to serve in the U S Army during the Occupation of Japan. When he returned home, George worked in the leather industry for many years in the Peabody area. He moved to East Kingston in the early 1960’s until relocating to Exeter where he had been residing. Family members include; a niece, June F. Kulakowski of Raymond; and a lifelong friend, Joe Griffin of Peabody, MA. Services will be private and burial will take place at a later date.
