George E. Winterer

George E. Winterer, 95, of 39 Coburn Avenue in Nashua died at Elliot Hospital in Manchester following a period of declining health. Mr. Winterer was born on June 25, 1907 in Manchester, son of the late Emil and Mary (Wilhelm) Winterer. He was a plant engineer at PSNH for more than forty years retiring in 1972. He was devoted to his family. An avid reader and fisherman, he was widely self-educated in many subjects. Family members include; one son, Allen George Winterer of Thousand Oaks, CA; one daughter Mrs. Barry (Charlene) Billings of Nashua; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice (Labbe) Winterer and by two sisters, Lena Carpi of Laguna, CA and Viola Sullivan of Northwood, NH. A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, January 18th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service at 11:00 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
