George "Woody" Henry Wadsworth

George “Woody” Henry Wadsworth, 80, of Gilsum, NH passed away suddenly at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH on August 19, 2024.

Woody was born on May 21, 1944 in Hartford, CT. Son of George Filer Wadsworth and Bernice (Urbanowski) Wadsworth. He was the eldest of eight children. He lived and worked in Windsor Locks, CT for 50 years before relocating to Gilsum.

Woody always loved music. He enjoyed spending winter months in Mrytle Beach, SC. Returning to the family home in Gilsum for the summer months.

Survivors include: brothers, Arthur J Wadsworth of Southington, CT; Robert Wadsworth (girlfriend Holly Goulet of 20 years) of Munsonville, NH; Walter D Wadsworth of Port Charlotte, FL; sisters, Cynthia J Griffin of Gilsum, NH and Amy J Wadsworth of Nashville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Predeceased by his father George Filer Wadsworth, his mother Bernice (Urbanowski) Wadsworth, and two brothers, Daniel R Wadsworth and Brian A Wadsworth.

Private services will be held for family members.

The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Mr Wadsworth’s memory to Gilsum Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 5 Church St, Gilsum, NH 03448.
