George James Wright

George James Wright, 79 years old, of Campton, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2021.

George was born in Lynn, Mass, to David Wright and Jennie Doucette. He attended Lynn Public Schools and joined the US Navy in 1959 at the age of 18. George served abord an aircraft carrier, the USS Valley Forge, during the early days of the Vietnam conflict. Upon discharge George married Patricia Dow and the two of them raised four children, Wendi Sek-Racioppi, George Jr, James and Heidi Donlan. George also served in the US Coast Guard Reserve for many years and was stationed at the USCG Station in Gloucester, Mass.

George was employed at a process technician/mechanic at the Gillette Company in South Boston & North Andover, Mass until he retired.

George is survived by Suzanne Silvestri, the two shared their lives together as domestic partners until his passing. They traveled and shared many adventures through the years. Their genuine love and care for each other was heartwarming.

George was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed boating, fishing, lobstering, he loved to hunt deer, he enjoyed motorcycling and snowmobiling. George never slowed down, he enjoyed great health and was very physically active. George also never stopped learning, he was constantly reading, training and taking many different certification courses.

George is lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren, Eric and Lauren Sek, Justice and Maxwell Wright and Alexa and Sofia Donlan, also by his great grandchildren Jonny and Charlie Murray.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2pm with a memorial service and military honors taking place at 3pm at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St, Manchester New Hampshire. Reception to follow.
