Gerald Jerry Bates

Gerald ''Jerry'' W. Bates, 54, of Lowell, MA died suddenly on November 5, 2002 at the Veteran's Hospital in West Roxbury, MA. Jerry was born on August 29, 1948 in Nashua, NH son of the late Clinton and Lydia (Goodwin) Bates. He was a U S Army Veteran SP4 who served during the Vietnam War. He was very active in outpatient activities at the Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA. Family members include; three sisters, Arlene C. Blouin of Nashua, Mrs. Daniel (Virginia) Vaillancourt of Clarksville, TN and Mrs. Gerard (Katherine) Simard of Barnstead; one brother, Calvin J. Bates of Littleton, NH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, November 8th at 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
