Gerald F. Daly, 57, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at in the comfort of his home following a brief illness.
Born on December 20, 1959 in New York, he was the son of the late John and Elaine Daly. Raised and educated in New Hampshire, Gerald was a graduated from High School in Nashua. He was the husband of Linda Daly. They were married on March 18, 2001 at Crossroad Church in Nashua, NH.
An honorably discharged veteran, Gerald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps, 1976-1982. After discharge from active duty, Gerald served in the Navy Reserves for a few years. Following his military career, Gerald served as a Corrections Officer for the State of New Hampshire for 12 years.
A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Gerald was the pillar of strength for his family. He loved to read, practice shooting, hiking and debating. Gerald was a member of the NRA and the Londonderry Fish & Game. Gerald will be best remembered for his kind heart and love of family.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Linda Daly; son, Jason DeMoss; three grandchildren: Danielle, Isabelle & Gabriel DeMoss; sister, Shawnmarie; two nephews, Davis & Joe; his aunt, cousins, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his three siblings, Steven, Christopher, and Tarah Daly.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 3:00P.M. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen with Pastor Behrman officiating. Following the committal, the family invites attendees to a gathering at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 37 Back River Rd., Bedford, NH. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH.
