GERALD EDWARD MALONSON, 76, of Hanover died January 13, 2004 at Hanover Terrace Healthcare. He was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on October 12, 1927 son of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Glennon) Malonson. He is survived by: his wife, Jacqueline M. (Cote) Malonson of Rochester, VT; and his eight loving children, Gerald E. Malonson, Jr. of South Carolina, David P. Malonson (deceased), Diane M. Bowen of Rochester, VT, James Malonson of Manchester, NH, Teresa M Bowen of Rochester VT, John P Malonson of Weymouth MA, Michael P. Malonson of Pembroke, NH and Tina M. Malonson of Amesbury, MA; 17 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren, he was affectionately known as Papa Jerry. He served in the army during the Korean War. While serving in the military he earned the title as light/heavy weight boxing champ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a champion skeet and trap shooter. He will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. His children would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hanover Terrace for their loving, compassionate and exceptional care of their father during his stay. Memorial services will take place in the spring in Rochester, VT.
