Gerard A. Couitt

Gerard ''Gerry'' Couitt, 65, of Blueberry Hill Road in East Unity, NH died suddenly on March 18, 2002 at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. Mr. Couitt was born on February 27, 1937 in Claremont, NH the son of the late Phillip and Geneva (Stone) Couitt. Gerry was a welder at Sturm Ruger and retired in March of 2001. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1236 in Newport. Gerry also raced motorcycles professionally for many years. Family members include; his wife of 21 years, Rhoda (Donovan) Couitt; two sons, Clay and his wife Alice Couitt and Gerard Couitt Jr. all of Newport, NH; two daughters, Tracy Couitt of Newport, NH and Sally Martin of White River Junction, VT; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, Fran Laventure of Newport, NH; two sisters, Joyce Boardmen of New Mexico and Lynette Grenier of Florida. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Couitt. There will be no services.
