Ginger Morse of Concord, NH passed away Sunday October 14, 2018 at the Concord Hospital. Ginger was born in Amityville, NY in 1952 but lived most of her life in New Hampshire. Ginger is survived by her brother Lee D. Scott and his wife, Mary Scott of Hooksett; her daughter Amelia Dalphonse and son-in-law Tom Dalphonse of Northwood, NH and daughter Dianna Kelly of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandchildren, Carter Rollins and Madison Rollins of Northwood, NH and Megan Kelly and Emma Kelly of St. Petersburg, FL.
Ginger had more spirit than most people. It is no coincidence that she was drawn to horses all her life. It was this spirit, and the tremendous amount of love she had, which gave her the strength to pull herself up - twice - from circumstances many us of would find insurmountable. Her last few years were her happiest in a very long time. She had been able to redirect the grief over her husband's loss into all the positive energy she brought to the farm. Live and Let Live Farm was her absolute Happy Place. She was needed and loved there by people and animals alike, and she needed what they gave her to heal herself.
Her many friends will miss her humor and her infectious laugh. Her support for anybody - humans or critters - who needed it was never-ending, and her gentle touch with everything and everybody was a counterpoint to her enormous strength, which could border on stubbornness. She was fiercely independent and wanted to stay that way.
Even though the passing of a person should never define them, in Ginger's case it was a fitting finale to a beautiful, extraordinary life. Her last moments of consciousness were spent among the horses she loved so much. It is a poetic ending to the beautiful arc of her life that she couldn't have written (or painted) any better, had she had a choice.
Ginger had so much more love to give. Instead, all of us who loved her have a brand- new angel watching over us now. A memorial is planned for close friends and family on Friday October 19, 2018 from 2 to 4 at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen. The family is requesting donations be made to Live and Let Live Farm in lieu of flowers.
