Giovanni Christopher Soricelli

On Saturday, December 25, 2021, Christmas morning, Giovanni Christopher Soricelli, a.k.a. John, a.k.a. fat boy, a.k.a. AO, lost his long-time battle with cancer. He passed away at home, peacefully, with his fiancé by his side at the age of 47.

Giovanni was born on February 20, 1974 in Waterbury, CT to Clemente and Lucinda Soricelli.

Giovanni loved to cook especially breakfast and dishes he learned from his Nona Mama Rosa who taught him at her bakery. He loved to take our dog Dejah for car rides and walks where our cat Rita followed close behind. His most favorite thing was to ride his motorcycle where he felt free of all his pain and troubles riding in the wind. The beach was his favorite place to be the smell of the ocean and sound of waves crashing was his way of centering himself.

GIO was known for his extensive story telling, quick wit, sarcastic humor, infective smile and his kind compassionate spirit.

Giovanni is survived by his fiancé of 4 1/2yrs, Jillian Buss; her daughter, Aulianna Buss; his parents, Clemente and Lucinda Soricelli; his two sisters, Melissa Soricelli and Jennifer Soricelli Evon and her husband Jay; and aunt’s, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
