Glen S. Wright, 76, of Loudon, NH passed peacefully on September 27th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Son of Douglas and Jean Wright, Glen spent his childhood in Wakefield, Rhode Island. After high school, he followed his father's footsteps serving in the United States Navy for six years. After which, he moved to New Hampshire where he met the love of his life Linda (Brown) and they remained inseparable for the 39 years of their joyful marriage.
Glen was a beloved uncle who also leaves behind sister & brother-in-laws, Barbara (Brown) Rice, Carol and Douglas Mahoney, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. For many years, he was dedicated, hardworking employee for the City of Concord’s General Services/Water Department. Glen had a warm heart, was gentle, optimistic, quick to laugh, was easy to strike up a conversation with and would always lend a helping hand. He relished traveling and exploring the country including amazing hikes to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. He appreciated nature, hiking, diving, photography and bowling with his wife and friends. He will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged for: Wounded Warrior Project Donor Care Center, PO Box 758541, Topeka Kansas 66675-8541, or Granite VNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant St., Concord NH 03301.
