Glenn Willis Davis, 71, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2019 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
Glenn was born in Haverhill Massachusetts, the oldest son of the late James F Davis and the late Dorothy A (Rowe) Davis.
Glenn graduated from Haverhill High School and Merrimack College where he studied mechanical engineering.
Glenn proudly served his country as a naval Boatswain's Mate during the Vietnam War.
He worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Digital Electronics Corporation and Volvo Trucks.
Glenn enjoyed camping in North Conway with his children. He took great pride in attaining Eagle Scout status at a very young age. Glenn loved spending time out on the boat on Lake Winnipesaukee with his brother- in- law, Bruce. He loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and Glenn loved his dog Spikey.
He cherished time spent with his friends and his family. He loved the annual county fairs and he loved watching the tractor pulls with his sister. Glenn loved the Isles of Shoals and winter in New England.
Glenn cherished the friendships he made at the Parkland Medical Center for Oncology and Hematology and was grateful for the care he received there.
He cherished his friends from Advanced Auto Parts in Londonderry. Glenn was a very kind and gentle soul who always offered a kind word. Glenn loved his children, he loved his family and everyone who knew Glenn, loved him.
Glenn is survived by his wife Donna Davis, his son Austin Davis Richardson, his daughter Shannon Dustin and her husband Ed, Hillary Lauren Davis and her husband Michael Bonen, Courtney May Conant and her husband Chris, Dulcinea Elspeth Bounds and his step son Schuyler Lynn Sloan and his wife, Cassie. Grandchildren Ella Wilson, Patrick Dustin, Andrew Dustin, Braden Bonen and Bryce Bonen. He is survived by his brother James A. Davis and his wife Geri (Gigliotti) Davis, his sister Cynthia Duchemin and her husband Bruce. He was Uncle George to Kayla Davis, Corey and Jeremy Duchemin. Glenn was predeceased by his wife Mary Jean Brodie.
Glenn leaves behind several close friends including Lisa Marie Richardson, Paul Jenne, Michelle Durand, Jake Sage, Rob Aubin and his wife Christina, Gene Gilman and all his friends from Advanced Auto Parts in Londonderry.
Calling hours will be at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street Boscawen, NH on Tuesday April 2nd from 10:30 to 12:30 followed by a veteran's tribute at the NH Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
