Gloria J. Cook, age 97, of Manchester, NH passed at St. Theresa’s Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on February 7th, 2026 due to a stroke with her granddaughter Julie by her side.

She was born in Harmony, Rhode Island to Andrew Johnson and Constance Johnson (Martin) on May 29th, 1928.

Gloria enjoyed her many years that she lived in Londonderry, NH. She worked for several years at Elwood and Woodmont Orchards. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her late husband Robert Cook, spending time with family, her cat Fluffy, cooking, rides to the mountains and family picnics at Lake Winnipesaukee.

Gloria is survived by two brothers, Richard Johnson and Billy Johnson, and three sons Richard Petrain, Allen Martin Sr., and Ronnie Martin. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, Candy, Jimmy, Julie, Tony, Trisha, Kassie, David, Jessica, David, Desiree, and Danielle; thirty-one great grandkids, twenty-four great great grandkids; and many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her son David Petrain, her parents, her husband Robert Cook, her siblings Elizabeth Moreau, Andrew Johnson Jr, Stella O’dell, Luciell Boucher, three grandson’s Billy & Ricky Petrain, Allen Martin Jr, and a great granddaughter Brittany Couturier.

Following cremation, a gathering will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104, on Saturday, February 28th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
