Gloria E. McKenney

Gloria Eva (Bouley) McKenney, 86, died peacefully on December 30, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA after a brief illness.

She was born in Nashua, NH on December 18, 1930 to Evelyn Gingras and Nicholas Bouley. Gloria was raised, educated and married in Nashua and being married to a Navy careerist lived many years of her life in various locations. She ultimately settled in Hudson, NH in 1965 where she lived for approximately 30 years until retiring to Hebron, NH. Five years ago, Gloria re-located to Derry, NH with her husband Mac.

Gloria was pre-deceased by her husband Henry (Mac) McKenney whom she was married to for sixty-five years. Other members of her family include four surviving children and their spouses: William and Cheryl McKenney of Gilford, NH, Candace and Larry Morrison of Hebron, NH, Allen and Sue McKenney of Hudson, NH, and Darryl and Lisa McKenney of Londonderry, NH, and her son-in-law Jason Rogers of NC; grandchildren: Stacey (Morrison) and her husband Nate Evans of NC, Justin and Evan McKenney of Hudson, NH, Morgan McKenney of Hollis, NH, Shelby McKenney of Boston, MA, McKenna (Rogers) Phillips and her husband, Clint of NC, Forbes and Shaw Rogers of NC; and one great-granddaughter, Tessa Evans of NC. Gloria was predeceased by her daughter Spring (McKenney) Rogers and grand-daughter, Crystal McKenney.

Her interests included cooking and she loved decorating her home. She took great care in her gardens planting trees, perennials and annual flowers. Bird watching brought her great pleasure and when cardinals visited they made her extremely happy. She loved parties, party preparation, getting her whole family together for holidays. She was a former member of Hudson Fish & Game, Lions Club, and Hudson Sno-Men. She will best be remembered for her caring and giving nature.

There will be a memorial service held at St. Kathryn's Church, 4 Dracut Rd., Hudson, NH on Thursday January 5, at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the service, there will be a Celebration of her Life at Valentino's Restaurant, 142 Lowell Rd., Hudson, NH. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org)
