Gloria Miron

Gloria M. Miron, widow of Joseph D. Miron Sr. of Hudson, NH, passed away on Thursday January 26, following a brief illness at the age of 80.
Gloria was born in Ashland, ME the eldest of ten children. She was raised in Limestone, ME, where she met and married her husband Joe while he was assigned to Loring Air Force base. Joe's military service as a Navy Seabee and later Air Force, took the overseas to Turkey and many parts of the country including CA, TX, LA, and SC. Joe retired at Charleston Air Force base in Charleston, SC on April 1, 1968.

Several civilian jobs brought Joe and Gloria to Hudson, NH, where they made their home in 1970. With family mostly grown, Gloria decided to climb the ladder one more time and enroll in Cosmetology School, graduating in June of 1979. She later opened a beauty salon, names Design-80 at home where she worked and retired in 2005 after 25 years in business. With retirement came more family time with Joe, collecting antiques, playing bingo, and trips to Foxwoods.

Members of the family include sons Steve and his wife Keri of Hudson, Joey and his wife Marilyn of Milford, Larry of Baxter, TN, daughters Bobbi of Nashua, Sheila and husband Mike of West Yarmouth, MA; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; Four sisters of TX, MT, GA, SC, and one brother of MO. Pre-deceased by one sister and three brothers. Gloria's eldest granddaughter Stephanie Soltysik, followed in her grandfather's footsteps and retired from the Air Force in 2013 after 20 years of service.

Arrangement are being taken care of by the Cremation Society of New Hampshire. There are no formal services, but prayers are welcome. Memorial Donations may be made to The Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.
