Gordon N. Baker, 50, of Weare, died Wednesday, May 12th at home with his wife and family by his side after a courageous, year-long battle against brain cancer. He was born in Groton, MA on January 12, 1960 to Warner and Patricia (Sherwin) Baker. He co-owned Aweare Auto and Truck Repair with his long time friend, Steve. He spent countless hours working to ensure that his friends and neighbors were safe on the road. Gordon met Mary-Ann, the love of his life, and they were married 15 years ago. His passion was riding his Harley Davidson with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto racing, and finding grass monsters. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. A kind and caring man, he will be remembered and treasured always in the hearts of those who knew him. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Mary-Ann (Lemire) Baker; son Bud and his wife Allison of North Conway; son Brian, currently stationed at Ft. Drum, NY and his wife Lauren; daughter Tiffany and son Trevor, both of Weare; his parents, Warner and Patricia Baker of Northport, FL; three sisters, Bonnie McInnis and her husband Dan of Northboro, MA, Linda Griffing and her husband Rick of Greenfield, and Patti Pickard and her husband John of Brookline; three grandchildren, Logan, Alessandra, and Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
