Grace A. Carlin

Grace “Gigi” A. Carlin passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in the home of her loving friend, Yvonne Wheeler, in Goffstown, NH on October 3rd, 2024. She was 85 years old.

Grace was the beloved wife of the late Eugene C. Carlin, who passed away in 2017. She is survived by her sister, Patricia DeShaw of Dennis, MA; her son, Gregory Valentini of Flagler Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Gina Valentini of New York, NY, Christopher Valentini and his fiancé, Haley Ruggieri; and their child, her great-granddaughter, Jewlienna Valentini of Manchester, NH. Grace was predeceased by her sister Cynthia Arena, her brother-in-law, John DeShaw, his son Johnny DeShaw, and her great granddaughter Valencia Valentini. She was the cherished daughter of Orazio and Angelina Arena of Natick, MA.

Born and raised in Natick, MA, Grace graduated from Natick High School, Class of 1958. She lived in Westborough, MA for many years with her late husband Kenneth Valentini.

She moved to Stewartstown, NH after meeting “Geno” where they lived happily together in their Mountainside Chalet. A vibrant member of her community, Grace was involved in several organizations, including the Westborough Community Chorus, the Pittsburg Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, and the Aurora Grange in Pittsburgh. She was also a member of The New Hampshire Circle of Home and Family Roadrunners where she received the Circle of Gold Award.

Grace had a passion for entertaining, and her home was often filled with laughter, music, and delicious meals. An avid cook and talented piano player, she brought joy to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her many loving friends and family. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Granite VNA and Hospice of Concord, NH. Services will be held at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at 11am on October 10th, 2024.
